Super Cool Car Theme Tresaury

Thank you so much for including my Red Classic Car in this super cool treasury.
It has always amazed me to see how the story changes thru the eyes of different photographers even when the subject remind the same. Love this treasury.

So, how do you pimp your ride? ^_^

my pepper series

I have wanted to do a series of still life photos that are a departure from my usual style.

First thing that came to my mind was Edward's pepper. His style of photography proved to be much harder that I thought. After much trial and error, I finally got something that I’m happy with. It might not be like Edward’s; after all he is a master at light and shadow. But I hope you like it anyway. Coming soon to my Etsy store.

Now if I can only convince my husband to roll down a sand dune butt naked too, haha…

Meet Dr Sketchy...

So who is Dr Sketchy you may ask...it's not a who but a when & where.

Dr Sketchy is a once a month getting together of artists and models.

It is a place where artists, painters and photographers can capture the images of the posting model for the whole afternoon. This is a very unique concept that started in NYC and now happening in 40 major cities around the world. So if you happen to be one of the lucky one in those cities, be sure to check it out. Just bring your tools of trade and $10 cover charge plus tips for the lovely models. You're now ready to paint, draw, click, drink and laugh with other art lovers.

Here's some highlight from my Dr Sketchy experience:

Our lovely model, Kate.

The person responsible for bringing me to this event, Josh.

Kate had to hold these posts for up to 20 minutes at a time.

No one told me that our model would pick her favorite sketch in return for free cover on the next event.
I would have hid in the bathroom had I knew ahead of time, haha.

So, ya this is my first attempt at figure drawing, can you tell?!
Room for improvement for SURE, haha ^_^

Overall I had a blast. Looking forward to the next one already.
Be sure to look for your local Dr Sketchy events too.
Happy Sketching ^_^

Grand Opening of Eclectica

It's finally open! The new and improved Eclectica Gallery.

Location: 521 Nevada Way, Boulder City, NV.

This super hip gallery / boutique shop has tons of creative art pieces to offer. From paintings to custom furniture to jewelry to fine art photography (from yours truly ^_^), you can find it here. Eclectica offers a much needed place for local artists to showcase their talents. Only those of us who live here understand how valuable that service is to the small art community of Las Vegas and it's surrounding area. (Thanks Christi & Val!)

So please do stop by the shop and help support these local artists.

Here's so highlight of the shop.

Cool artsy furniture at the storefront.

The team working hard at getting the place ready for opening day.

You can see my Polka Dots paintings at the back wall ^_^

Some of my work, so honored to be here ^_^

The group of art work on the right is by one of my favorite artist Garcell Art.

Now go check out some galleries and support your local art community ^_~
