my pepper series

I have wanted to do a series of still life photos that are a departure from my usual style.

First thing that came to my mind was Edward's pepper. His style of photography proved to be much harder that I thought. After much trial and error, I finally got something that I’m happy with. It might not be like Edward’s; after all he is a master at light and shadow. But I hope you like it anyway. Coming soon to my Etsy store.

Now if I can only convince my husband to roll down a sand dune butt naked too, haha…

  1. Edward Weston's portraits are gorgeous. I think you should definitely play with either more color in the background (to play with the color in the vegetables) or try black and white.

  2. Thanks for the advise. I was thinking about b&w too. I'm not even dreaming of being anywhere close to Edward's level but hopefully I can end up with something that's mine and pick up a few pointers in the process.
